My Works

I’m mainly a practising writer and illustrator, and have already put down a few works. Here they are!

The Jr. Pop Diaries (completed)

Trevor may have it all, but he is still short of something: being a member of the famous kids' band Jr. Pop. With his new friends, Elijah and Wylie, he posts videos to compete in the auditions and secure the positions. But no sooner than when they're selected, they find out that there is more mystery to the band than intended, surrounding his new friend Tana, plus rules that could defy the law, plus plus the tough consequences of being famous.

Can he make it through his first year of Jr. Pop?

This series, in published form, will be a trilogy consisting of 3 novels: Year 1Year 2, and Year 3.

Reality Reel (discontinued)

Ten-year-old Sankalp Chanana has big dreams to be a dancer. But he’s not sure if he can even make it. Failing the final auditions in ‘Super Dancer: Chapter 3’, he has been thrown into intense training ever since. And there’s another worse thing: it’s 2021, and the COVID-19 pandemic is raging across the world, infecting people by the million. There’s no way there will be auditions for a new season.

But new hopes arrive for Sankalp when he hears of the auditions for the fourth season of Super Dancer, and he’s determined he can pass. And along the way of his redemption during the show, he makes special bonds with many people, bonds that he doesn’t want to lose for the spotlight.

Join Sankalp in this heartwarming tale about what it means to be in the world of reality TV, and all the dedications and sacrifices he must make along the way, hoping that he wins the coveted trophy before it all falls apart.

This series, in published form, will be a standalone novel.

American Born Indian (ongoing)

Meet Jay Sharma, a spirited Indian-American middle schooler who’s never had the chance to explore the land of his heritage. But when an unexpected move whisks him away from the bustling streets of New York City to the culturally vibrant Bengaluru, Jay finds himself thrust into a world of unfamiliar rules and rigid traditions. (Who would have thought that phones weren’t allowed in classrooms?) As if that isn’t enough, there’s people’s reactions of him being openly gay and living with his single mother. Suddenly, Jay becomes the center of attention in this new country, leaving him torn between two worlds. How he can ever truly be Indian when he’s spent his life suppressing his Indianness to fit in America?

But as Jay immerses himself in the vibrant tapestry of Indian life, he realizes that, beneath the surface, people everywhere struggle with problems that are deeper and more complex than his own. Through newfound friendships and a burgeoning life in Bengaluru, Jay begins to embrace the idea that he can be both Indian and American simultaneously.

American-Born Indian is a funny and poignant tale that explores themes of cultural identity, self-acceptance, and the journey to discovering one’s true self in a new and unfamiliar land.

In published form, the series is an entire standalone novel.
